Celebrating Mental Health Awareness Month — With Style and Heart ❤️

At 2nd Avenue Animal Hospital, we believe that mental health matters — for people and pets. This Mental Health Awareness Month, our team joined together for a week of themed dress-up days, using creativity, color, and community spirit to spread awareness and start conversations about mental well-being.

As veterinary professionals, we understand that mental health touches every aspect of life — from the deep bonds we share with our animal companions to the well-being of our clients, staff, and the pets we care for. Each day, we see firsthand how animals offer comfort, companionship, and healing — reminding us that emotional health is just as important as physical health.

Our dress-up week was more than just fun outfits — it was a meaningful way to show support, reduce stigma, and celebrate the strength it takes to care for our minds, just as we do for our furry friends. Whether we were sporting our favorite team, wearing green for awareness, or wearing our favorite shirts, we were united in one message: Mental health is health. And everyone deserves support — two-legged or four.

Thank you for being part of our journey. Together, we can foster a more compassionate, connected, and mentally healthy community — one paw at a time.
